Coventry City goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos is determined to make the most of his chance to become a regular for the Championship side.
The 28-year-old has joined the Sky Blues from Hartlepool United this summer, having almost linked up with City a year ago.
He told the Evening Telegraph: "It was on the cards for me to come to Coventry last season, but I was still under contract at Hartlepool and they didn't want to let me go.
"To be fair it has been a shock to the system but I am getting used to it now. It is all looking good and I'm feeling better.
"During the last couple of pre-seasons I had mainly done just goalkeeping work, but it is good because this is what you need and, after the first few days, I soon started to enjoy the fitness training.
"I am here to make the step up and I feel I can achieve that."
