Joachim Joins Coalville

City Old Boy News Former Coventry City forward Julian Joachim has joined Evostick League One South side Coalville Town. Joachim, who spent most of his time at Highroad Road injured, had been playing for Holbeach and Boston United after leaving Hinckley United in  2010  but wanted a club nearer to his Leicester base. Speaking about Joachim who made 56 appearances for the Sky Blues from 2001-2004, Coalville boss Adam Stevens said to his club's website: “It’s a major coup for the club and shows our intent in trying to attract the best players to Owen Street. “The club has increased its profile immensely over the past few years starting with the FA Cup run culminating in our promotion year and reaching Wembley. This is clearly another chapter in that history. “Julian is far from a marquee signing, however. Obviously they’ll be an added interest because of his playing career at the highest level but I’ve brought him in, having worked with him before, knowing what he can bring to the squad and first and foremost that is all about getting results for Coalville Town. I’ll do that using players, from any level that I think will add something to the team.”
