Jeffers Makes His England Debut

Jeffers plays for England Shaun Jeffers made his England international debut tonight when he came on as a 68th minute substitute for England U19 in their 2-0 wim against Slovakia at Gresty Road, Crew. England led from a 16th minute goal from Liverpool's Michael Ngoo in front of a crowd of 3,013.. In the 68th minute, Jeffers who was watched by his City Acadmey boss Greg Rioch, Cheltenham boss Mark Yates plus family and friends and a whole host of scouts and agents including Cyrille Regis, came on. Two minutes later and Jeffers was sent crashiing by a lunge from a Slovakian defender and John Joe Shlevy curled home the resulting free kick to give England the win.
