I'm Just Glad It's Not Orient Again - Pressley

City Boss On Cup Draw

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has admitted that he was not glad that the Sky Blues were not drawn away to Leyton Orient in the FA Cup First Round.

The Sky Blues were drawn away to League Two side AFC Wimbledon, who have worked their way through the non-league and into the Football League after being set up by very disgruntled supporters of the defunct Wimbledon FC who decided to form a seperate club, in the First Round draw which was made on Sunday afternoon by Ray Parlour and Gerard Houllier.

Speaking about the game, which will take place from Friday November 8 to Monday November 11th at the 5,000 capacity Cherry Red Records Stadium in Kingston upon Thames, Steven Pressley told the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole: “To be honest I don’t know a lot about Wimbledon other than that they started the season well but have fallen off a bit in recent weeks.

“We’ll obviously do our homework before we go down there but the history of the competition tells us that this is just the sort of game where you can expect upsets.

“I’m expecting a packed ground and an exciting game – a real FA Cup tie –  and it’s one we’ll all look forward to. But most of all I’m just glad we’re not away to Leyton Orient again!”
