I Am Committed - Westwood
City keeper after clear the air talks Keiren Westwood has said that he is committed to Coventry City whilst he is still at the club.Westwood has not signed a new contract and has maintained that he will not be bullied into signing a deal but said at a press conference yesterday at Fortress Ryton after a clear the air meeting with Aidy Boothroyd:"I'm 1,000 per cent committed to this club."Speaking to the CT's Alan Poole, Westwood said: "It got very messy in the last few weeks, which is not what I wanted and I'm sure is not what the gaffer wanted. "We had a good chat. "He said some things, I said some things - that will stay in house - we shook hands and that's me and him back on the same page."We've drawn a line under it and we want to try to move forward together because there's no point in going backward and forward, arguing against each other."We want to do what's best for the club and we're both pulling in the same direction."There was no rift - I want to make that clear. The last thing I want to do is fall out with anybody because I'm not that type of guy, I'm not really a big fan of confrontation.//'); //]]>"I never said I wanted to leave and over the last two years I don't think that anybody could have a go at me about that."When Chris Coleman was here I played many a game under a lot of stress that people don't know about. "But I've always tried my best, always given my best, always wore my heart on my sleeve and I will continue to do so."I'm 1,000 per-cent committed to my team-mates and the club. "I think the fans know what I'm about, the kind of kid I am - they have been fantastic to me since day one and I can't thank them enough."I just want to play football for the club and I think we've got a great chance this season. "I heard Martyn Pert say that anyone can beat anyone this season and he's dead right - and if we got promoted that would be fantastic."
