Caretaker boss Adrian Heath is still in the running to take on the permanent manager's job at Coventry City, according to managing director Paul Fletcher.
Heath has been in charge of the Sky Blues since Micky Adams' exit more than three weeks ago.
City have won one and lost two games under Heath's guidance, but Fletcher has said no decision will be made on the permanent post until the end of February.
"Obviously Adrian Heath has an opportunity and, if he's to put himself high up in the pecking order to become the next permanent manager, then he knows he needs to deliver on the field," he said.
"It's in his hands at the moment and it's up to him to put himself in pole position.
"We're trying to give him all the support we can, but he knows the score."
