Former manager news

Dowie to be offered Hull job permanently National newspapers are reporting that former Coventry City manager iain Dowie is set to be offered the Hull managers job whether he keeps The Tigers in the Premiership or not. Dowie is employed to run the team until the end of the season while former manager Phil Brown is on gardening leave.  Mirror Football  has reported  that the Sky Blues boss will be given the chance to stay on as Hull boss even if they are relegated. Hull chairman Adam Pearson, writing in the club programme  on Saturday, praised Dowie saying: "We felt new impetus was required immediately to lift the shackles and give us new impetus to move up the league. It's our belief that Iain and his team have already done that in their short time here working with a committed squad of players." "Iain has brought a freshness and impact to the club that we hoped he would and deserves our full backing for taking on such a challenge at this stage of the season."
