Former City Keeper Dies

Charlie Ashcroft dies Former Coventry City goalkeeper Charlie Ashcroft has died aged 83.Born in Chorley in July 1926, he joined Liverpool during the second world war and made 89 appearances for Liverpool.He left to join Ipswich Town and then moved to Coventry City where he made 19 appearances in the 1957-58 season.
