Flowers confident over City

Coventry City number two Tim Flowers has played down fears of financial meltdown at the Ricoh Arena and insists the coaches and players are focused on matters on the pitch.

The Sky Blues had a transfer embargo placed on them last week after they failed to pay an installment of a transfer fee owed to Southampton after the signing of Leon Best.

The Championship club recently saw a potential takeover bid collapse at the 11th hour and are rumoured to be close to being placed into administration, but Flowers insists it is business as usual on the playing side of the club.

"There's been rumour and counter-rumour. It doesn't bother us," he said.

"The powers that be will get round a table and thrash it out, I'm sure.

"When they do, this club I'm sure will go from strength to strength."
