Fair Play To Coventry - Jackett
Opposing Manager's View
Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett was disappointed that his side did not close out the game with Coventry City after Leigh Griffiths had given Wolves a 66th minute lead.
Coventry equalised with five minutes plus four added on by the referee to go and speaking about the 1-1 draw to Bill Howell of the Birmingham Mail, Jackett said: “It is disappointing that we didn’t close it out and see out the game because for long periods we were the side in charge.
“Fair play to Coventry, they kept going and the right-back has got in and finished it very well.
“There wasn’t much in the game. It was a tight one, a typical local derby and when you have the first goal in a tight one you should really go on and win it.
“If you want to be consistently successful that is what we are looking for from 1-0 up. We should have tested the ‘keeper more and done more up and around their box.
“The ball was up there and around a lot of the time and we should have carved out more and tested their ‘keeper.”
