Coventry City defender James McPake hopes he will be able to return to first-team action in November.
The 25-year-old has featured in only five matches for the Sky Blues following his transfer from Livingston in January because of injuries, the latest of which is a dislocated shoulder.
However, he said: "I'm hoping to start playing again come mid-November if all goes well. That's just a rough target but it would be nice to get a few reserve games in by then.
"Performance wise it will be like starting from scratch but I think the last eight months have been invaluable coming down and making new friends and getting settled into the area.
"So I haven't got that to worry about. At least now all I have to do is concentrate on getting fit."
