Dulieu sings Thorn's praises

Coventry caretaker boss Andy Thorn has been given an early vote of confidence by new chairman Ken Dulieu after securing a much-needed victory in the first match of the new regime`s tenure.Thorn, aided by coach Steve Harrison, continued his exciting brand of attacking football to bring a rare of ray sunshine to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday as the Sky Blues brushed aside Watford 2-0 to record only their second win in 19, and put a troubled week off-the-pitch behind them.Referring to Dulieu, Thorn told the Coventry Telegraph: "He sent me a nice text after the game."He came down to see me in person but I was doing the press at the time so I didn't see him but he sent me a text congratulating me and saying how much he enjoyed the game and how good we played, so that was pleasing. And he has phoned me since and reiterated that and said that is the way we want to go."He came down to the training ground last Friday to introduce himself to the boys and everyone, and we had a little meeting and chat. He has said we need to be in this league and I'm doing everything I can to make sure we get the results to do that."Regarding his managerial future at Coventry, Thorn added: "I am just going to get on with it and we will see what happens."
