Coventry City have appealed against Michael Doyle's red card in Saturday's FA Cup fifth round defeat to West Brom.
City's captain was dismissed by referee Mark Halsey for a foul on Zoltan Gera but caretaker boss Frankie Bunn and Albion manager Tony Mowbray both believed it was a harsh decision.
If the Sky Blues lose the appeal, Doyle will miss the three matches against Sheffield Wednesday, Leicester City and Burnley.
Bunn had said after the 5-0 drubbing: "The sending off killed us, but we still made some basic errors and when you're chasing the game against a side as good as West Brom they'll punish you."
