Coventry City boss Iain Dowie has revealed his frustration at the current transfer embargo placed on the club.
The Sky Blues boss has found his hands tied in the transfer market in recent weeks after a potential takeover bid by an American consortium fell through.
And Dowie has confessed he is finding it tough to keep his side challenging towards the top of the Championship table.
"If we let one out we can't get anyone in because the embargo is still in place," he told the Coventry Evening Telegraph.
"I don't know how long for but it's dragging on, as is the takeover, and all we can do is try to blank it out.
"One or two people we have targetted have gone elsewhere but there you go, that happens. That's where we are."
