Defeat Drops City To Ninth

League One Round Up

Coventry City are down to ninth after today's matches.

City are now eight points off sixth placed Tranmere Rovers who were beaten 1-0 at fifth placed Yeovil Town.

Due to their inferior goal difference, City are thirteen points behind league leaders Doncaster Rovers who beat Hartlepool 3-0.

Sheffield United are second following a 2-0 win at Oldham and are ahead of Swindon and Brentford who beat Scunthorpe United 1-0.

City dropped to ninth in the table due to Walsall beat Shrewsbury 3-1 at The Bescot Stadium, whilst seventh placed Bournemouth run of defeats continued with a 3-1 loss at Leyton Orient.

At the bottom, Portsmouth won 2-1 at Crewe and now have 27 points, three behind Hartlepool and Bury who were beaten 2-0 at home by Crawley Town.

Elsewhere, MK Dons drew 1-1 at home to Preston, Notts County beat Carlisle 1-0 and Colchester won 2-0 at Stevenage.
