Former Coventry City defender Scott Dann has thanked the Sky Blues for allowing him to seal a move to Birmingham City.
The 22-year-old is poised to join the Blues in a £3.5million deal, having impressed with Coventry since his arrival from Walsall 18 months ago.
He told the Evening Telegraph: "I'm extremely grateful to Coventry City for giving me the chance to play at the top level and the past 18 months at the club have been extremely enjoyable for me.
"I take with me some great memories, but felt that, personally, this was the best move for me and an opportunity I felt I could not pass up.
"I would like again to express great thanks to Coventry and its fans for all they have done for me over the past 18 months. I wish the club all the success it thoroughly deserves."
