Coleman wants hard graft

Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has asked his players to dig deep in South Wales in order to return to the Midlands from Swansea City with a positive result.

The Sky Blues take the tough trip to face the Swans at Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night and history is not on their side.

Coventry have not collected maximum points from their opponents since 1950.

Speaking to the Evening Telegraph, he said: "We trained all over the weekend to get ready for tonight.

"The only way to get over a defeat is to go and get a positive result in the next game and that's what we have got to do.

"It is going to be hard but if we can come back with something then we can put a few demons to bed."

Meanwhile, Coleman is still in the hunt for young Carlisle United striker Gary Madine, who has returned to Brunton Park after his brief spell at the Ricoh Arena.

He added: "I am still hopeful that we can do a deal.

"We want one thing and Carlisle want another, which is what happens in deals, but the chairman is quite confident that we can agree something."
