Coventry City boss Chris Coleman has completed a loan move for West Brom's highly-rated left-back Leon Barnett.
The 23-year-old cost the Baggies £2.3million in 2007 but has been forced to sit out most of this season with a knee injury, featuring in just five matches but failing to start a single league game.
Despite his lack of football Coleman insists Barnett is ready to be thrown into first-team action this Friday, when the Sky Blues face Derby County.
"Leon has lacked a bit of football because of a knee injury but I'm not worried about his fitness because he did a full pre-season and came through 90 minutes in the reserves this week when he did everything we expected him to do," Coleman told the Coventry Telegraph.
"He's got a lot of experience in this league and played a big part in West Brom's promotion campaign two years ago, but we aren't expecting miracles from him against Derby."
