Coleman plans McPake loan spell

McPake has been sidelined since injuring his shoulder during pre-season, yet he is now steadily completing his comeback and managed to get 90 minutes under his belt for the club's reserves on Tuesday. However, Coleman does not want to rush him back into first-team action too soon and fears that would only hamper his chances of a full recovery. He instead plans to build up the 25-year-old's fitness further before easing him back in at another club - of which there has already been interest. "It was his first game back so it is too early for James to be involved and we don't want to make the same mistake as we have before," Coleman told the Coventry Telegraph. "There are one or two clubs interested in him and I will let him go out on loan to get some games." The Sky Blues boss is already without a host of players due to injury, but there are signs of recovery with the return of captain Stephen Wright and fellow defenders Martin Cranie and Marcus Hall.
