Coleman eyes new right-back

Coventry City manager Chris Coleman is confident of signing a new defender on an emergency loan deal later this week.

First-choice right-back Stephen Wright is currently sidelined after suffering an Achilles injury in last month's Carling Cup first round win against Aldershot Town.

Coleman told the Sky Blues' official website: "We're hoping to have something done by the end of the week in terms of bringing in a loan player at the right-back position.

"Wrighty's still injured so we'd like an extra option at that position at the moment so hopefully we can get something done in the next few days."
