Coleman cools play-off talk

Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has warned his players not too get too hung up on the possibility of reaching the Championship play-offs this season.

The Sky Blues are five points adrift of the top six, having lost just once in ten league games before a 2-1 midweek reverse at home to Cardiff City.

Coleman told the club's official website: "We set ourselves a target of mid-table to top half for the season.

"But when you find yourselves in the position we are, it's difficult not to look at it and think we can go a little bit higher.

"There's nothing wrong with being a bit more ambitious I don't think, but if it turns out we cannot break into that magical top six this season, we need to ensure we finish the campaign as strong as possible."
