Another player publicly supporting Thorn Another Coventry City players has publicly announced his support for caretaker manager Andy Thorn and has urged the board to appoint him as their next full time manager. The Northern Ireland international midfielder said the entire squad are behind Thorn and are backing him. They all get on with the easy going former chief scout and hold him and head coach Steve Harrison in high regard. Coventry City announced last week that they Thorn is one a five man shortlist for the vacant  position and it is rumoured that the other four include Mark Robins, George Burley, Kevin Blackwell and David O'Leary. Clingan said, “We have all taken to the manager and we all hope he gets the full-time job. All the players respect the guy and he and Steve Harrison have done a brilliant job since they have come in." "We enjoy the training and really look forward to the games, and that’s all credit to them. It makes sense from a continuity point of view to keep him on because he knows the club and the players and it is really important that he has the backing of the players because we appreciate the job that he has done so far and I am sure he will be a leading contender." “It makes it even more important that we finish the last three games well because we want to do well for ourselves and the manager who has put faith in us by allowing us to get the ball down and play and create chances that way.”
