Clingan: We won`t rest on our laurels
Coventry`s stand-in skipper Sammy Clingan insists no-one at the club is relaxing after last weekend`s victory over Watford.Clingan guided the Sky Blues to only their second win in 19 league attempts to move City 10 points clear of the drop zone with seven matches remaining. But, speaking ahead of Saturday`s trip to Derby, Clingan said: "We got a good result against Watford but we`re not going to rest on our laurels and think we`ve made it because we haven`t. There`s still a lot of games left until the end of the season so we want to win as many of them as we can."It`s nice we`ve got a win behind us now going into the game against Derby, the boys are really buzzing in training. Training`s been really, really good and hopefully we can take our performance against Watford onto the pitch on Saturday against Derby."Caretaker manager Andy Thorn, who is sweating over the fitness of Marlon King and Gary McSheffrey (both flu), echoed Clingan`s views."We`re going to keep going right until the end of the season, there will be no-one slacking off, no-one taking their foot off the pedal. If I see anyone doing that they won`t be playing," he said. "But I know the group now and what we`re getting over to them, no-one will take their foot off the pedal between now and the end of the season."
