City to land loanee Henderson

Coventry City boss Chris Coleman is on the verge of completing the signing of Sunderland's teenage winger Jordan Henderson.

The 18-year-old will move to the Ricoh Arena on a 28-day loan arrangement from the Black Cats and will be the Sky Blues' second capture of the week following the arrival of Chelsea midfielder Lee Sawyer.

Henderson made his first-team debut for Sunderland when he came on as a substitute in the 5-0 defeat at Chelsea in November.

He made his first start for the club in the Carling Cup loss to Blackburn later in the month and has also been an unused substitute on five occasions this season.
