Former Coventry City defender Dave Jones is one of the names being bandied about after reports that Leicester City have sacked manager Sven Goran Erikkson.

Reports say that the Thai owners had a meeting today which lasted for several hours and they decided that it was time for the former England manager to leave the club.

Leicester's owners King Power are understood not to be happy with the return so far on their sizable investment and were less than impressed with the 3-0 defeat to Millwall on Saturday.

Dave Jones, who was at Cardiff City as manager until May 2011, has been mentioned as a very early possible replacement along with Martin O'Neill and Steve McLaren.
