Coventry City Ladies drew 0-0 with Nottingham Forest this afternoon.
Craig Nicholls gave Amie Savva a debut up front in place of the injured Maz Gauntlett and saw his side take their time to get into this League Cup tie at Bedworth.
Steph Smith had the first real chance firing at Wood. City countered with a corner and then another in the sixteenth minute which was met by Kim Walton who lashed a shot which former City defender Emma Hollingsworth cleared off the line.
Forest attacked in the 20th minute but Sue Wood made a great block with her feet from Lauren Howard and then safely gathered the loose ball.
Helen Dermody fired at Kinnelly in the 23rd minute before Hollingsworth planted a header onto the crossbar and some brave defending from Nat Wilcox under her own bar and Kim Walton saw the ball cleared for the first of two corners.
Savva worked well on her debut, forcing Kinnelly into a 31st minute save.
Toussaint fired over following a throw won by Nicole Dale ten minutes later before the half ended.
City made a double change at the break with both full backs replaced by Nikki Miles and debutant Nat Brace and Forest replaced Lauren Howard with Kirsty Allen.
Two early corners were won by the Sky Blues and Brace rattled the bar from thirty yards in the 55th minute as City started positively.
Three minutes later, Megan Howard nipped in and Sue Wood made a save before City's highly experience skipper Natasha Lynch threw herself and cleared off the line.
Just after the hour mark, Dermody went close on the right as both managers made their final substitutions.
City who travel to Tottenham next Sunday, won a 77th minute corner thanks to a deflected Dermody shot and Dermody fired wide after being played in by Nicole Dale with eight minutes remaining.
Despite the efforts of both sides, a 0-0 draw it was.
