City withdraw employment offer

Coventry City have moved to get rid of their new Commercial Manager after just one day in the job.

Andy Dawson had been at Derby County with Paul Clouting and now disgraced Jeremy Keith who is currently banned from being a Director of any company and had also been at Hull City and the Amateur Boxing Association.

City have refused to say why the offer of a job to Mr Dawson was withdrawn but in a statement to the CT, Paul Clouting said: "Some information involving references came to light which gave us no choice but to withdraw the offer of employment to Andy Dawson.

"He spent just longer than a day with us. "It is regrettable but completely the correct course of action."
