City complete Morrison deal

Coventry City have sealed the signing of Republic of Ireland striker Clinton Morrison on a two-year contract.

The 29-year-old has spent most of the summer training with City, having left Crystal Palace at the end of last season.

Sky Blues boss Chris Coleman told the club's official website: "Obviously it's fantastic we've managed to get Clinton over the line.

"He's spent a lot of time training with us and we've made no secret of the fact we wanted him to join us.

"He's a proven goalscorer in the Championship and another example of us trying to add quality to the squad."

Morrison had enjoyed two spells with the Eagles during his career, with a three-year stint with Birmingham City sandwiched in between.
