Coventry City chairman Ray Ranson has revealed the appointment of a new manager is close with former Fulham boss Chris Coleman believed to be the frontrunner.
The Championship strugglers are on the lookout for a new manager after Ranson decided to fire Iain Dowie last week.
Coleman, who managed Fulham for four years before a brief tenure at Spanish club Real Sociedad ended last month, is believed to be his number one target.
The Sky Blues' search for a new boss was made all the more pressing after Saturday's FA Cup fifth round 5-0 mauling at the hands of West Bromwich Albion.
And Ranson, who completed a takeover at the Ricoh Arena in December, has revealed an appointment is close.
"We're moving in on things," he told Sky Sports News.
"We've been doing a lot of work and have taken our time but I'm very confident of filling the management chair in the next 48 hours - maybe tomorrow (Monday), with a bit of luck."
