Michael Byng Willing To Talk
Michael Byng has said that his consortium are happy to talk to SISU, the City Council or anyone else to see what his backers can contribute.
Speaking to Stuart Linnell on his BBC Radio Coventry & Warwickshire show, Mr Byng said; “Not a question of my email.
"We prepared a CVA for the creditors but the email was with-held by our investors, until the situation was clarified.
"I spoke to Paul Appleton and ACL to get further clarification after my backers were completely thrown by the Arena Coventry Limited bid for CCFC Ltd and I apologise to anyone who feels misled.
"We are still prepared to invest in the infrastructure in the city and West Midlands which has been announced in the last ten days. That includes the city and the football club.
I have emailed the City Council (Martin Reeves and Chris West) as to what they would like for the future of the Ricoh Arena.
ACL need to make clear their plans and accord has to be reached with all parties for the football club to be playing there.
My clients see the Ricoh Arena as part of the re-generation of North Coventry and I have to speak to everyone to see if we can reach some accord. We would have done business with anyone who ultimately wins the football club.
The football club and Ricoh Arena should be one asset. There needs to be more gigs, more exhibitions and I hope we can productively talk to SISU."
