Coventry City have been ordered by a Football League tribunal to pay Crystal Palace an initial £400,000 for Gary Borrowdale.

The 22-year-old defender joined the Sky Blues in the summer after falling out-of-contract at Selhurst Park and his vale could increase to £650,000 based on appearances.

Palace were entitled to a transfer fee as Borrowdale is under the age of 24.

City have also been ordered to pay Southampton an initial £650,000 for striker Leon Best. The Sky Blues could receive another £500,000 for the 21-year-old depending on appearances.
