Boothroyd sings Doyle`s praises
Boss Aidy Boothroyd saluted match winner Michael Doyle after Saturday`s 1-0 triumph over Burnley, suggesting his spot in Coventry`s starting line-up could now be his to lose. The Irishman's future at the club has come under the spotlight over the past 12 months. The 29-year-old, who joined in 2003, spent last term on loan at Leeds before being linked with a move away from the Ricoh Arena over the summer, while subsequently spending this campaign to date on the periphery of Boothroyd`s XI.But injury to Sammy Clingan saw him return against Crystal Palace before proving the difference against Burnley at the weekend.Boothroyd said: "Michael`s come into the team and the team that starts the season is very rarely the team that finishes. They might be the blue-eyed boys and the teacher's pets at the start but at the end it`s about form, making sure you don`t get injured."Michael's kept his head down, waited for his chance and he`s come in and done really well and he scored a terrific goal."
