Boothroyd releases trialists

Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has decided to release trialists Orlando Smeekes and Kevin Ellegaard after brief spells at the club.
Dutch forward Smeekes featured in three Sky Blues' pre-season friendlies, while Danish goalkeeper Ellegaard played in the games against Nuneaton and Hinckley.
However, they have both failed to impress Boothroyd enough to earn contracts at the Ricoh Arena.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Boothroyd said: "I have made my decision and we are not going to do anything with them for the time being.
"I will continue to monitor them but at this moment in time I have got three or four irons in the fire.
"You have got to look at everything and also keep things bubbling away, as we will do with these two."
