Boothroyd in for a rough time

City boss expects 'stick' from Bristol fans Coventry City boss Aidy Boothroyd takes his team to  Bristol City  tomorrow with the expectations that he will be the target of abuse from hostile Bristol fans because of his links with City rivals Rovers. Aidy Boothroyd played for Rovers and in some Bristol derby's so knows what lays in store for him at Ashton Gate and has admitted the Bristol City fans "can be horrible". Boothroyd revealed, “I have played in Bristol derbies before when they have attacked their own team, literally, so I know what they can be like and at the same time they can be a really good crowd and partisan when things are going well, so I have seen it both ways." // '); // ]]> “We have got to make sure we quieten them and turn them, and just do a professional job. This game is a great opportunity to lay the ghost of the south west to rest.” The Robins have yet to win at Ashton gate this season and Boothroyd is hoping his team can capitalise on this, although the Sky Blues away form this season is not overly impressive, something Boothroyd is eager to rectify. “Reading Keith Millen’s comments he is telling everyone that it is a must win game for them, so they will obviously go all out and will be attacking us from the start so we have to make sure we give them a few problems, " explained Boothroyd. “He has obviously laid down the gauntlet and said there are going to be changes, so we have to be ready for whatever comes out of those Ashton Gates and give them one or two problems ourselves. And hopefully we can start where we finished off against Swansea.”
