Birchall Rejoins Port Vale

Former Coventry City winger Chris Birchall has rejoined Port Vale.

Birchall had been in America playing for Colombus Crew after leaving LA Galaxy where he played with the likes of David Beckham.

Birchall, who was an integral part of Coventry City winning the Birmingham Senior Cup in 2007, has signed until the end of the season.

He tweeted; "Thanks for all your kind messages, yes I am home and have re-signed for Port Vale, excited for the future,glad to be Paul Wildes (New Port Vale Chairman) 1st deal."
