Best enjoys thriving partnership

Coventry City striker Leon Best is enjoying his partnership with fellow sharp-shooter Clinton Morrison following their unbeaten week in the Championship.

They picked up a 2-2 draw at home to Middlesbrough last Saturday after trailing 2-0 and on Tuesday night the Sky Blues came from behind to beat Watford 3-2 at Vicarage Road.

The pair scored the goals in the 'Boro draw and two Best goals in the second half against Watford claimed all three points.

He has now scored five in the last five and six so far this season - the same as Morrison.

And with talk of Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Sam Vokes joining on loan, Best believes the imminent arrival could give the strike force that extra edge.

Speaking to Coventry Telegraph, he said: "I think it will take something to get us out of the team at the minute but we do need competition in the side.

"At the minute me and Clint are on fire and hopefully we can keep scoring in every game, but if someone is coming in it is only going to help the team."
