Best boost for Sky Blues

Coventry City expect striker Leon Best to be fit for Saturday's Championship clash with Plymouth Argyle.

Best limped out of last weekend's 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace after suffering a gashed foot.

The 22-year-old's foot was placed in a temporary cast after the game amid fears of a serious injury, but assistant manager Steve Kean is confident the striker will be ready for the visit of the Pilgrims to the Ricoh Arena.

"It was quite a deep cut he got on his ankle and it looked pretty painful," he told the club's official website.

"But we put some stitches in after the game and kept him on crutches to keep his weight off it and he should be okay for the weekend."
