Another Scan For Cranie
City defender requires another scan
Martin Cranie has been forced to have another scan to sort out the rib injury he picked up during Coventry City's 2-0 defeat to Barnsley on Saturday.
Cranie took an initial knock to the chest in the eleventh minute, making a brave clearance from a corner. He was treated but carried on until the 48th minute, when he had no choice but to come off due to not being able to breathe properly.
Speaking to the CT, Andy Thorn said: “Martin's had an x-ray but he’s still pretty sore.
“The results didn’t show a break or fracture or anything but he’s in that much pain that we are having to have another one done to scrutinise it even more.“They seem to think it might just be really badly bruised but he can hardly move or breathe." Speaking about Cranie being forced off just after the second half had restarted, Thorn said: “Someone went in to him with his knee.
"He didn’t want to come off, saying that he was fine but he cleared a ball early in the second half and he got an elbow right in the same spot and he couldn’t breathe so he had to come off.”
