Coventry City boss Micky Adams fears the club may struggle to hold on to leading scorer Dele Adebola when the January transfer window opens.
The Sky Blues rejected a sizeable offer for the 30-year-old from Sheffield United last month, but Adams believes interest from the Championship's promotion-chasing clubs is inevitable after the striker's impressive start to the campaign.
"Dele is a handful, and he has been since I took over here in January," he told BBC Sport.
"I can understand why other clubs are looking at him at the moment.
"Sheffield United made offers for him before the transfer window closed. They were substantial for our club in its present financial situation.
"But we were able to turn them down quite easily because I said to the chairman 'he's not for sale'."
