Coventry City boss Micky Adams hit back at his critics after the Sky Blues rallied to earn a 3-3 draw at Bristol City in the FA Cup third round.
Defeat at Ashton Gate had been rumoured to spell the end of Adams' reign at Coventry, but his side came back from 3-1 down to secure a second bite at the cherry.
He said afterwards: "I was supposed to be out of a job at five o'clock, but here I am at ten past five and still smiling.
"It was a tough game as I knew it would be and I'm not disappointed with the draw.
"We got over-run a little in the first half as they have quality players who could be playing at a higher level.
"But in the second half we pushed them back and might have won."
