SISU's Rep on City's Board speaks SISU's Rep on the Coventry City Board's Onye Igwe has stressed that supporters welfare and safety on match days at the Ricoh Arena is paramount. Some City supporters are staying away from the Ricoh Arena for fear of their safety from marauding stewards acting on orders it is understood, after the stewards were sent in to deal with those calling for SISU to end their time at the club at the recent home matches against Watford and Derby.  Writing in the programme for the home game against Reading, Mr Igwe said: "After the unpleasant scenes at our last home game. I would like to make it clear that you as supporters are top and centre focus for all at the club. Your safety and welfare on matchdays is paramount and we do not want these scenes repeated. "As owners, SISU has no issue with people expressing their concerns and views about the direction and management of the club. We are always happy to listen to your views, indeed, we would encourage you to tell us how you can improve your club on and off the field. In return we hope you will listen to our plans and aspirations for the club. Equally, we hope all of you agree that our supporters want to come and have a fun match day experience in a safe and friendly enviroment. We should be all able to experience this. "We also hope that all our supporters recognise our legal duty to ensure that fire and safety regulations are adhered to. This is the responsibility of trained staff well versed in these matters and it is the safety officer on the day that is ultimately responsible for security and decision making. "However, between the management of CCFC and the stadium company we recognise that we must do a better job of providing our supporters with an enjoyable leisure experience. CCFC and the stadium company management are working to ensure the co-ordination and guidelines, training and pre-match briefing of stewards and police is carried out to the highest standards." We offer a right of reply for anyone wanting to comment on this
