Yet another managerial twist
New name, new favourite In another bizarre twist to the search for a new manager, national newspapers are now reporting that a new candidate has emerges as the front runner for the vacant job. Alan Irvine, who led Sheffield Wednesday to relegation from the Championship, is now the favourite to land the Coventry managers post. The Daily Star reports that Irvine, who prior to managing The Owls, managed Preston North End, is now the 'number one target' to take over from the ousted Chris Coleman. Tony Mowbray and Paul Hart had been strongly tipped to take over the hot seat, along with a host of other names, but today, Irvine is in the gossip spotlight.
