Fit again Wood to face walsall Richard Wood is set to face Walsall on Saturday after recovering from an ankle injury which enforced a late withdrawal from the Northampton game on Wednesday evening. Wood picked up the injury in the warm up at Sixfields, but has recovered in time to be in contention for the vist to Walsall's Bank's stadium. Boothroyd said of Wood,  “Woody took a knock in training which is getting a little bit feisty, which is good. The players wear shin pads and they are getting into each other because we are looking to be competitive in games and training, and he took a little whack on his ankle but he will be OK and available.” Speaking about the trip to Walsall, Boothroyd said, “We are looking forward to another step up against Walsall, which will be tough. I know Chris Hutchings very well and I look forward to seeing another game." “He is a very good manager who delights in telling everyone I used to be his boot boy at Huddersfield Town. He never got me a Christmas tip because he is the tightest man in the world but I am looking forward to seeing him and reminding of that.”
