Wood could return

The return of Richard Wood will give Coventry City manager Andy Thorn more options.

Wood is expected to play for City Reserves tomorrow against Northampton Town to see if he will be fit enough to make the squad to face Nottingham Forest at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday.

If Wood does comes through, he is likely to replace Chris Hussey who has struggled in his last two matches.

Speaking about Chris Hussey to the CT, Andy Thorn said: “Chris has been terrific but he may need a little rest to come back on it again, so we’ll see how that pans out.

“He’s still young and only played probably 20 games after stepping up from non-league.

"But he’s been working really hard, as have all the boys and they are disappointed with our performance at Barnsley because they know we are better than that.

“We are working our socks off to get it right and it won’t be through a lack of commitment and effort, that’s for sure.”
