Winning start for Sky Blues
Coventry got their pre-season preparations under way with a 2-0 win over Austrian side SV Gaflenz in Obertraun.
David Bell and Richard Wood scored the goals in the first half.
Bell skipped past the Gaflenz right-back and shot through the goalkeeper`s legs from a tight angle before Wood headed home Sammy Clingan`s inswinging free-kick.
City were rarely troubled but Keiren Westwood made a solid save down by his near post with the score at 1-0 and Gaflenz struck the crossbar with a long-range free-kick in the second half.
