City Old Boy on why his City award meant so much Speaking to Talk Sport, former Coventry City midfielder Stewart Robson said that being voted Player Of The Year by Coventry City supporters meant more to him that it did when he won the same awards at Arsenal and West Ham. Robson explained the reason why the City one meant more to him was that he was playing in a weaker team and that it was harder to stand out. To be recognised by the fans in a weak team meant a lot to him as it was easier to do well playing with good players.
