Carsley on win at Bury

Coventry City Caretaker Manager Lee Carsley was full of praise for his players after the 2-0 win at Bury.

“This was all down to the players," Carsley told the Coventry Telegraph. “We’ve only had time for a couple of training sessions and we certainly weren’t going to make any big changes, but the lads proved that they are ready to battle for this club. “It was a tough game – we knew that would be the case because Bury are fighting for their lives – so we had to match that commitment, be strong at the back and make sure that we were as good when we didn’t have the ball as when we did have it. “The early goal obviously helped because that meant we were in the driving seat, but there were still spells when we needed to soak up some pressure and we did that really well. “I don’t think anybody could argue that we didn’t deserved the win.”More http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/coventry-city-fc/ccfc-match-reports/2013/02/16/bury-0-coventry-city-2-full-time-report-92746-32823546/#ixzz2L6WUNRMJ
