Coventry City defender William Edjenguele enjoyed the experience of playing against Tottenham's Emmanuel Adebayor on Saturday.

The Frenchman, who joined City in the summer and has cemented his place in the Sky Blue's back four with some excellent performances this season, said to Sky Blue Player's Nick Connoll about the FA Cup Third Round tie at White Hart Lane which saw the Sky Blues beaten 3-0 with Clint Dempsey getting a brace and one from Gareth Bale in the first half, Edjenguele said:"And for me to play against Emmanuel (Adebayor) was brilliant as he was a player I always watched when he was at Metz and Monaco.

"To play against him was a bit strange in that respect and I had the chance to speak to him a little bit which was good.

"I think I did well against him and I won a lot of our battles, but unfortunately it wasn't enough."
