Referee announced The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Championship fixture against Middlesbrough at the Ricoh Arena is Dean Whitestone from Northampton.Dean, the son of a Class One Referee, started his refereeing career in the United Counties and Southern League before he was appointed to the National List of Assistant Referees in 2001 and then the Referees List midway through the 2005-06 season.This will be his 18th game of the season (Five Championship games so far including Middlesbrough's 1-0 win over Sheffield United and he has shown 48 yellow cards and six red. This will be the 28th Championship game of his career.His last City game was the 1-1 draw against Blackpool on January 30th 2010. Other City games he has been in charge of are; the 2-1 win at Northampton Town in a Jackson Grundy Cup game in July 2009, the 2-1 win at Charlton on December 9th 2008, the 1-0 home win over QPR on September 20th 2008, the 1-1 home draw with Southend on December 30th 2006, His assistants are Amy Fearn from Leicestershire & Richard Kendall from Bedfordshire The Fourth Official is Marc Perry from the West Midlands.
