But Westwood is confident he can cope with the speculation surrounding his future.
"I take it as a compliment," he told the Coventry Telegraph. "I know I am only 24 but I feel I am quite experienced because I have played nearly 250 games and I have got into this position by working hard, doing the basics right and not getting too ahead of myself.
"So I can't see me getting too big for my boots now. There is no point. I never really knew he (Woods) was there until someone mentioned it after the games, but it doesn't make any difference to me.
"If they are going to do something, they are going to do something. It is out of my hands."
